Nutritional yeast flakes are a seasoning obtained from a deactivated organism grown on sugar cane molasses. It has a slight salty taste and an aroma reminiscent of cheese. It is an excellent alternative for vegan and low sodium diets and a great addition to vegan cheese recipes.
Nutritional yeast flakes are great for adding savoury flavours to recipes, providing dietary minerals, essential amino acids and complex B vitamins, with nearly a thousand percent less sodium than salt.
